The theme of the envelopes appears central in contemporary design and the techniques that allow its declination consequently gain in importance. This applies to all the materials and in particular for the traditional ones as stones, reinterpreted thanks to innovative technologies, for which it is necessary to ensure expressive freedom, simplicity of installation and security in all conditions, including those in seismic area. For this purpose in the last years have been developed high performances systems of substructure and of mechanical dry anchorage used in ventilated facades or in simple advanced screen. The aim of this work, through the analysis of these systems, of their compliance with the recent technical antiseismic legislation and of the relevant case studies, is to give a contribution to the proper and aware use of ancient but never outdated materials, such the stones.
