Efficienza e circolarità nell’uso e nel riuso delle risorse e dell’energia: il progetto dell’Osservatorio Astronomico di Pian della Fioba a Massa
The concept of efficient use of the resources implies an optimal choice of materials to produce value and a transformation of consumption modes that often reflect the linear economy model – that involves producing goods, using them and subsequently abandoning them, with high waste of resources and strong environmental impact – to obtain a circular model that is based on maintaining the usefulness of products, components and materials and that is efficient, sustainable and with low carbon emissions while remaining competitive. Eco-design saves valuable resources and is therefore essential to ensure circularity by reducing resource use and incentivizing the reuse, recovery and recyclability of materials. This framework includes the preliminary project for the construction of an astronomical observatory in Pian della Fioba in Massa that was developed by my study commissioned by the G.A.M. (Gruppo Astrofili Massesi) from 2001 in different versions up to the one presented here, proposed to the Municipal Administration for the search for funds and the realization. The project was not realized due to the definitive lack of interest of the institutions, losing the opportunity to provide not only the municipal territory of a structure of sure recall – the nearest observatory was in Lucca – and that would be managed free of charge by the Group. However, it appears interesting from the point of view of efficiency and circularity in the use and reuse of resources and energy as in its development process, given the characteristic of a public building, it has been adapted to the growing demands of sustainable design and to the specific regulatory indications, in fact reaching the definition of a building configuration energetically independent, fully removable and recyclable.
