The undoubted increase of anthropic load, most tourist, that the apuo – versilian coast suffered in the last years, led also to a change of a traditional building typology as the sea resorts In fact, the common use of masonry and reinforced concrete, led to decidedly heavy and invasive results, differently from the XIX century, when the “casini per le bagnature di mare” had very light wood structures, almost mayfly in front of the strength of the waters and with a minimal impact on the coastal environment, that was left very little built. Probably it would be a little practicable to propose again in a philological way those old typologies, but their analysis perhaps would allow to find characters useful to their reinterpretation and contribute to a more correct and harmonious development of this last coastal system’s edge that the beaches are.
